Hummers are clever little firework effects that make a special whizzy hum as they fire up into the sky and dart about. A really fun firework.

They use a fast burning composition in a small, thick walled, tube. A hole is made through the tube at an angle into the composition. As the composition burns the tube spins very quickly and as it does so the hole, and hence the sound produced, momentarily faces the audience. This constant spinning is what produces the humming sound.
